Tone Manipulators

A dark turtleneck riff in Piano Magic’s flea-market techno sonatas, the Build Manipulators’ make of cautiously crafted IDM dub scored big with supporters hungry for dancehall music interpreted by Germans. DJ Reverend as well as the often pseudonymous Cem Mouth (Jammin’ Unit, Surroundings Liquide, Zulutronic) acquired constructed their pan-Atlantic audio from basics of several dub-integrated projects, showing up on Elektrolux’s initial Dub Backups compilation in 1997 alongside Bandulu and Dr. Scissors and Universal’s Smoking cigarettes Beats, aswell as launching the “Totally Illegal” EP and 1999’s dark, spangly “Dubstructure” one.
