Tommy Whittle

Among Britain’s most highly respected mainstream saxophonists, Whittle offers played with a lot of the U.K.’s finest, including Ronnie Scott, Ted Heath, Kenny Wheeler, and Joe Temperley. Whittle started playing the clarinet at age group 12 and turned to tenor saxophone a 12 months later. He caused Johnny Claes, Lew Rock, Harry Hayes, and Carl Barriteau within the middle ’40s.
