Tommy Scott

Tommy Scott was one of the outdoors songwriters to pen materials on their behalf in the 1960s (others were Phil Coulter and Bert Berns). It has been speculated that Truck Morrison was frustrated by getting given tunes not really from his very own pen, but in fact Scott’s compositions appropriate him and Them pretty much. Scott was in charge of composing the jazzy “NOT Know” as well as the Animals-like “Contact My Name,” aswell as cowriting “I COULD Only OFFER YOU Everything” with Phil Coulter. Another of tracks, “Strangers,” was documented in the middle-1960s by Belfast music group the Mad Lads on the demonstration, and was released in the Big Defeat compilation Belfast Defeat Maritime Blues.
