After playing in a variety of bands around Toronto in the later ’50s, Tommy Graham shifted to LA in 1960, but came back three years afterwards to join the best Town Guys. The band split in 1965, therefore Graham made a decision to journey all over the world; while in India, he fulfilled and researched under Ravi Shankar’s sarode participant, Ali Akbar Khan. Time for Canada in 1970, he started dealing with record manufacturer Brian Aherne. After Graham supported Anne Murray’s strike “Snowbird,” a Capitol manufacturer recommended that he record by himself. THE WORLD was the effect, released in 1970 with help from bassist Neglect Beckwith, drummer Ron Rully, pianist Costs Speer and metal guitarist Pal Gage. Sadly, Tommy Graham’s single profession was quite short.
