Tom Grant

Tom Grant, that has impressive technique along with a likable design, has spent the majority of his saving career building music that purposely attracts a broad crossover audience, merging jazz with pop and R&B. His dad was a touch dancer who possessed a record shop and his old brother Mike performed piano. When he was four, Offer started playing piano and drums. He graduated in the School of Oregon and went to NY with Jim Pepper’s Pow Wow music group. He gained a masters level in education and was teaching high-school public research in Portland when Woody Shaw noticed him playing in a weekend after-hours gig. Shaw provided Grant employment along with his group and the knowledge soon resulted in more extensive use Joe Henderson, Dexter Gordon, Charles Lloyd, and Tony Williams (1979-1981). Offer trim his first single record in 1976 for Timeless and in 1979 he created his own music group, which was available to the pop music the keyboardist loved. Beginning in 1983 and carrying on into the fresh millennium, Grant offers recorded an extended group of poppish jazz-influenced times (for brands including Run after, Verve Forecast, Shanachie, Two times Play, and Nu-Wrinkle) which have variously dropped into the types of fresh adult contemporary, peaceful storm, modern jazz, and clean jazz; all have already been best-sellers within the jazz-lite marketplace. Furthermore, Tom Grant offers made up music for Television and radio.
