Tom Collier

A talented multi-instrumental percussionist, Collier debuted at age group 13 within the Lawrence Welk Display. He became intrigued with jazz and unusual period signatures through Brubeck. Relocating to LA in 1974, he used Ernie Watts, Costs Holman, Shelly Manne, Howard Roberts, Bobby Shew, and Don Ellis. He became a member of the faculty on the School of Washington in 1980, and provides recorded several albums being a leader.
