Guitarist Todd Clouser is a forward-thinking and adventurous musician using a bent toward contemporary creative jazz and genre-bending varieties of improvised music. A Minneapolis indigenous, Clouser went to Berklee University of Music in Boston, and he toured as person in the rock-band 4 Letter Guy. Around 2006, Clouser relocated to Baja, Mexico to rejuvenate and redirect his musical route. Citing such different affects as Jimi Hendrix, Charlie Parker, Frank Zappa, Nels Cline, Mls Davis, among others, Clouser released his debut single record, Baja, in 2007. He came back a year afterwards with Beatnik Highway. Clouser’s inventive and eclectic jazz-influenced music ultimately caught the hearing of the likewise inclined NY trumpeter Steven Bernstein (Sex Mob), who toured Mexico with Clouser in ’09 2009 and 2010 and made an appearance with Clouser’s A Like Electric powered ensemble on his 2010 eponymous discharge. In 2012, Todd Clouser’s A Like Electric, offering trumpeter Adam Meckler and a visitor appearance by Bernstein, released 20th Hundred years Folk Selections.
