To the Wind

Based from the Pacific Northwest, Seattle’s Towards the Wind focus on a pulverizing mixture of post-hardcore and melodic punk steel that’s shipped with deliberate yet positive intensity. Created around the skills of brothers Tanner (vocals) and Ryan Murphy (acoustic guitar), along with Matt Farage (acoustic guitar), Tron Laur (bass, vocals), and Cory Lamb (drums), the music group issued its 1st EP, The Most difficult Part, individually in 2008, accompanied by another extended-player, Foundations, this year 2010. The group’s third EP, 2012’s ONLY This, caught the interest of punk/emo/hardcore label Pure Sound, who promptly authorized the group and re-released the EP combined with the band’s full-length debut, Clear Eyes, the next year. Towards the Wind’s sophomore long-player, FILTER sunlight & Sleep, adopted in 2014.
