TM Juke

Educated on classical and jazz guitar, TM Juke (blessed Alex Cowan) found the sampler as an adolescent, partially in an effort to annoy his pops (who was simply insisting that his son consider formal music lessons since Alex was seven), and partially due to his appreciate of hip-hop. At 23 he released his initial full-length record, 2003’s Maps in the Wilderness, on Tru Thoughts. After remixing music for countless various other performers, in 2005 he teamed up with United kingdom vocalist Alice Russell to co-write and generate her debut, My Most liked Letters. The next year Forward arrived, a joint discharge on Ubiquity and Tru Thoughts, and highlighted the same jazz, spirit, funk, and hip-hop-flavored organic electronica that were entirely on his initial record.
