Tjalkuri

Australian singer/songwriter Broughton Mitchell was coping with an aboriginal tribe whenever a person in the tribe named Mitchell died. As an honor towards the deceased, he was asked to have a different name and was christened Tjalkuri. The change was typical of the musician that has mixed Western rock designs with traditional indigenous music and used music artists of both designs. Tjalkuri released his self-titled debut recording in Australia in 1996; in June 2000, American self-employed label Gadfly Information issued it within the U.S.
