Latin rockers Tito & Tarantula comprised singer/guitarist Tito Larriva, previously most widely known for founding the seminal LA punk music group the Plugz. Larriva was created in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico but spent his early years living outside Fairbanks, Alaska; his family members later on relocated to Un Paso, Tx, where he researched violin and flute as an associate of his college orchestra. After senior high school he flirted with going to Yale College or university before getting in L.A. through the mid-’70s; there Larriva produced the Plugz, which in 1979 released their debut LP Electrify Me, the first record to emerge in the city’s growing punk scene. Soon after credit scoring Alex Cox’s 1984 cult traditional Repo Man, the Plugz had been rechristened the Cruzados, putting your signature on to Arista release a a self-titled 1985 LP; AT NIGHT followed 2 yrs later, as well as the group disbanded in 1990.
