Tiny Winters

A well-known and respected number on the Uk jazz picture for more than six years, Winters began performing professionally within the ’30s with such market leaders mainly because Ray Fox, Bert Ambrose, Lew Rock, and Ray Noble. He documented with Coleman Hawkins in 1934 so when a innovator in 1936. From 1948-55 he performed a normal gig in the Hatchett’s Golf club in London. He also worked well freelance like a program participant and in theatrical orchestras. From the first ’80s, Winters used the English cornetist Digby Fairweather within the Kettner’s Five. In 1989 Winters documented using the octogenarian saxophonist Benny Waters within the latter’s last European recording program. Winters performed on Fairweather’s documented tribute to trumpeter/vocalist Nat Gonella, With Nat at heart, in 1994.
