Drummer Tim Davis was using a music group in Madison, WI, within the mid-’60s whenever a friend in the School of Wisconsin, guitarist/vocalist Steve Miller, asked him to try forming a blues music group with him and another friend, Adam “Curly” Cooke, in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. Thus was created what was after that referred to as the Steve Miller Blues Music group in 1966. Davis stuck with Miller through those tough start — when there wasn’t very much paid function or cash — through early performances assisting Chuck Berry on his Fillmore Western live album with the Monterey Pop Event. They got a recording agreement immediately after, and Davis was the band’s drummer and percussionist (and in addition contributed support vocals) on the 1st five albums, including Daring ” NEW WORLD ” and #5 5. He also were able to work in a few using the Jefferson Aircraft, most notably within the Crown of Creation classes, during this time period. He later on used Ben Sidran, furthermore to slicing his own recording, FANTASY — featuring efforts from Cooke as well as the Thankful Dead’s Donna Jean Godchaux — in 1972.
