Tigercats

East London indie group Tigercats were shaped this year 2010 by singer/songwriter and guitarist Duncan Barrett together with his sibling Giles about bass, Jonny Evans about drums, and Laura Kovic about vocals and keyboards. Affected by traditional U.K. pop works like Orange Juice, Belle and Sebastian, and Hefner, they released a set of singles on little British brands Haircut Information and WeePop prior to making their recording debut with 2012’s Isle of Canines. Their mixture of mild, bittersweet pop and quirky, fuzzed-out indie ultimately attracted the interest of noted United kingdom label Fortuna, who authorized them in 2014. Right now working like a quintet with the help of guitarist Paul Rains from Fortuna labelmates Allo Darlin’, they released their sophomore recording, Mysteries, in early 2015.
