Thunderstone

A melodic power steel device from Helsinki, Finland, Thunderstone was originally formed exclusively for kicks in the entire year 2000 by guitarist Nino Laurenne. The music group grew right into a critical endeavor the next year using the entrance of vocalist Pasi Rantanen, keyboardist Kari Tornack, bassist Titus Hjelm, and drummer Mirka Rantanen. Shortly equipped with two appealing demos, Thunderstone was courted and agreed upon by Nuclear Blast, which released the band’s eponymous debut in June 2002. Stratovarius guitarist Timo Tolkki produced a visitor appearance onto it, and afterwards invited them to aid his band, in addition to America’s Symphony X, on the European trek, and Thunderstone reconvened in Helsinki to record their sophomore work, The Burning, that was released in early 2004. 2005’s Equipment Of Devastation peaked on the #3 placement over the Finnish albums graph, and 2007’s Progression 4.0 saw the group taking part in the pre-selections of this year’s popular Eurovision competition. 2009’s Dirt Steel will be the band’s initial outing with ex-At Vance vocalist Rick Altzi and brand-new keyboardist Jukka Karinen (Position Small), and in 2016 they released their sixth studio room long participant, Apocalypse Again.
