Throwing Snow

Throwing Snow may be the alias of producer Ross Shades, a London-based dance music producer whose result has been in comparison to that of progressive dubstep numbers Shackleton, Martyn, and Machinedrum. He debuted on his ANOTHER Without label in 2007 with Footnotes, Pt. 1, a humble digital download EP. Short-form produces for brands like Ho-Tep and Trainer Social Membership trickled out sporadically through 2011, as the pursuing year brought a set of powerful EPs for Snowfall. During this time period, additional strides had been made out of remixes for Silver Panda, Eskmo, Ital Tek, and Heathered Pearls. He also participated within a trip-hop-leaning group known as Snow Spirits, which also included Hannah Cartwright and Oli Knowles. In 2014, Shades released a set of his innovative EPs through Fabric’s Houndstooth department (which acquired also agreed upon Snow Spirits). They preceded the record Mosaic, also released on Houndstooth, afterwards that year. Following February 2015 discharge of Snow Spirits’ second record, Shades returned to single utilize a trio of fascinating digital singles, Lumen, Glower, and Xema (all gathered as vinyl fabric EP Axioms), before addressing focus on his sophomore full-length. The record, entitled Embers, premiered once more through Houndstooth in January of 2017.
