Thoughts

A quartet of Pete Beckett (vocals/guitar), Phil Boardman (business lead guitar), Dave Croft (drums) and Alan Hornby (bass), this Liverpool, Merseyside, Britain group initially recorded as backing music group to regional singer Tiffany (as Tiffany‘s Thoughts). With this guise they released two singles on Parlophone Information, ‘I Understand’ and ‘Discover Out What’s Occurring’. In addition they backed other regional works including Paul Dean and Johnny And John. In 1966 they turned to Planet Information and produced their debut as the Thoughts with ‘All Night time Stand’/‘Memory OF THE Like’. A relatively risqué solitary for enough time, the a-side was a Ray Davies structure never recorded from the Kinks, and made by Shel Talmy. Nevertheless, when chart achievement eluded them the group split up, Beckett later becoming a member of Paladin.
