Born from the swampy humidity of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, stoner/sludge steel strap Thou are as massive because they are prolific. Shaped in 2005 by guitarists Andy Gibbs and Matthew Thudium, bassist Mitch Wells, and drummer Josh Nee, the band’s audio mixes the shuddering heaviness of doom using the oppressive atmospherics of dark metal, providing the music group a monolithic audio that feels, sometimes, inescapable.
