Theorcolus

The jazz fusion outfit Theorcolus is lead by bassist David C. Gross, and in addition includes numerous additional users: trumpeters Erik Jakobson and Lewis Barnes (of the tiny Huey Orchestra); saxophonists Daniel Carter (Additional Sizes and Test), Will Connell (Small Huey Orchestra), and Persistence Higgins (Muhal Devices); keyboardist Toby Kasavan (Transonic); in addition to percussionist Num Amun-Tehu and drummer Warren Benbow (Blood’s Odyssey Trio). The group continues to be playing in the brand new York City region since the past due ’90s, and their debut, I, premiered in 1999. Furthermore to Theorcolus, Gross can be an associate of Bob Musso’s Transonic clothing, fronts other tasks at New York’s Knitting Manufacturing plant, and writes frequently for Bass Frontiers journal.
