Made up of multi-instrumentalists Dhani Harrison (son lately Beatle George Harrison) and Oliver Hecks, London-based duo thenewno2 (pronounced “the brand new number 2”) successfully blend the late-period experimental pop from the Fab Four using the ambient electronics of Brian Eno as well as the split is better than of Massive Attack. Produced in 2006, the music group released its debut EP, EP001 (offering vocalist Amanda Butterworth), the next calendar year.
