Edinburgh, Scotland-based fantasy pop outfit shaped in later 1998 simply by brothers Stuart (electric guitar/vocals) and David Nicol (bass). The Nicols teamed up with another group of brothers, Gordon (drums/vocals) and Jonathan Kilgour (electric guitar/vocals), and harmonica participant Stuart Campbell to record the Zephyrs’ debut It’s Alright NOT SAYING Anything. Made by Super Furry Pets and Mogwai associate Michael Brennan Jnr., the record premiered on Edinburgh’s EVOL label in springtime 2000. Cellist Caroline Barber augmented the line-up for the documenting from the Stargazer EP, that was released via Mogwai’s Southpaw Recordings imprint.
