The Zeftrons

After saving and liberating his debut solo album, singer/songwriter Michael Landgarten assembled the Zeftrons for his next album. In 1996, Rockingham Recordings released the band’s self-titled recording, which presented Landgarten on business lead vocals, Ned Run after on acoustic guitar, Brian Coleman on bass, Jonathan Haas on drums, and Jonathan Newell on piano and body organ. Landgarten’s songs had been strongly rooted in the rock and roll tradition, however showcased substantial nation and folk impact. The Zeftrons disbanded in 1998, soon after their album’s launch, and Landgarten resumed his single career.
