Athens, GA-based trio Workhorses from the Entertainment/Recreational Sector mix traditional folk, acoustic rock and roll, somber bluegrass, and nation music with three-part vocal harmonies comparable to Little Community or the Music group. Made up of Ben Reynolds (electric guitar/vocals), William Tonks (electric guitar/vocals), and Rob Keller (bass/vocals), the three had been currently veterans on the neighborhood scene before signing up for up jointly in WERI. Reynolds was one area of the swamp rock and roll duo Chickasaw Mudd Puppy dogs, and have been concentrating on picture taking because the group’s 1992 demise. Plus a slew of Athens rings, Tonks was especially an associate of Barbara Cue and Raleigh’s 6 String Move. Keller previously used 6 String Move aswell. Originally, Tonks and Reynolds merely played the arbitrary gig jointly around town among family commitments. Acquiring their moniker in the nickname of the friend’s touring truck, WERI had been officially blessed in 2000 by adding Keller. A self-titled record was released in Apr 2006 on Chicago’s Fundamental Information.
