Vocalist/songwriters Deb Talan and Steve Tannen, both of whom had released single materials before banding together to create folk-pop duo the Weepies, initial met at among Tannen’s displays in Cambridge, Massachusetts. At that time, Tannen was touring to get his debut record, Big Señorita.
