The Wee Turtles

Athens, GA indie pop quartet the Wee Turtles was formed in the summertime of 1998 by vocalist/guitarist Jon Croxton, guitarist Brian Crews, bassist Robbie Beers, and drummer Phil Horan. Called honoring a quote in the Simpsons’ Groundskeeper Willie — “EASILY don’t conserve the wee turtles, who’ll?” — the group released its debut one, “Here Shows up Lucky,” in the Blackbean & Placenta label, pursuing compilation efforts to Earworm and Kindercore using the 2000 discharge of the Pitch-a-Tent full-length debut This Property Is Your Property.
