The Weather Station

The Weather Place is the music project of Canadian singer/songwriter and actress Tamara Lindeman. Growing out of Toronto’s lively folk picture, Lindeman debuted her moody, introspective audio using the individually released East EP in 2008. An LP known as The Line adopted in ’09 2009, growing on Lindeman’s earthy, lyrical design, powered by her special finger-picked acoustic guitar and banjo parts. For another Weather Station launch, Lindeman caused friend and collaborator Daniel Romano, putting your signature on along with his label You’ve Transformed Records release a the critically acclaimed follow-up Everything Was Mine in 2011. Although album was just released in Canada, it obtained wider publicity for the elements Station, resulting in several UNITED STATES tours with serves like Bahamas, Basia Bulat, and Timber Timbre, and a tour of Japan. Furthermore to collaborative visitor appearances on produces by Doug Paisley, Siskiyou, and Field Survey, Lindeman also gained a SOCAN songwriting prize nomination in 2013 for the co-write with Steven Lambke from the Constantines. Following the discharge of 2014’s What Am I Likely to Perform with Everything I UNDERSTAND EP, Lindeman agreed upon with NEW YORK label Heaven of Bachelors and journeyed to Paris to record her third LP, Commitment. Released in 2015, Commitment was the initial Weather Station record to get both and American and Western european discharge, and therefore became relatively of a crucial breakout album.
