The Going for walks Timebombs is among a small number of projects to emerge from the house studio of Houston techno-clatter auteur Scott Ayers within the ‘90s. It’s audio is a relatively calming departure from Ayers’ use industrial sound purveyors the Discomfort Teenagers and leaden guitar-rock trio Truth Decay. Ostensibly Ayers’ “single” debut, 1997’s The Strolling Timebombs mainly replaces the numbingly off-putting grind of these two functions with a natural mixture of new-school trip-hop and old-school commercial.
