The Very Girls

Created in the southern part of the Netherlands, the Girls documented their self-titled debut album in 1997. The duo of Aggie de Kruijf and Ankie Keultjes (better referred to as Aggie and Ankie) relocated to America soon thereafter and became a staple around the Houston folk music picture. Having been set alongside the Roches, Nanci Griffith, and Emmylou Harris, the duo’s nice harmonies have drawn compliment on both edges from the Atlantic. In 2002, the group released its second recording, Somewhere else Bound. Although Dutch, the Ladies perform in British.
