The Twilights

Among the better Australian sets of the ’60s, the Twilights weren’t especially innovative, but played competent, harmony-driven Uk Invasion-styled rock and roll, strongly recalling both “defeat” and pseudo-psychedelic period Hollies. Relying generally on the initial materials of guitarist Terry Britten, they documented over twelve singles, and a few albums, between 1965 and 1968, chalking up several large Australian strikes. Like many Australian superstars of the time, they journeyed to England for some time so that they can crack the worldwide market, handling to record several paths in London with renowned manufacturer/engineer Norman Smith (who got caused the Beatles, Green Floyd, Pretty Issues, yet others). Like various other Australian works in the U.K., apart from the Bee Gees and Easybeats, they totally failed in this respect, time for Australia to get more sporadic achievement in the homeland just before disbanding in early 1969.
