The Twigs

Musically self-taught twin sisters Linda and Laura Great will be the Twigs, an indie pop duo raised in ’70s power pop, very soft rock, and classic soul, merely to mention some of their shared loves and influences. It wasn’t until Linda and Laura had been continents apart until they began writing music jointly — while Linda is at Wales learning music, she started swapping tapes back again and 4th with her sister, who was simply their studies at Columbia. They create their very own label, Whirl-I-Gig, release a their 1996 debut, Bring Me the top of Eternity. After adding bassist Joe Yost and drummer Gerald Dowd (Robbie Fulks) towards the lineup, they released 2001’s The World Tonight. THE PRODUCTS are self-taught music artists — Linda sings and takes on acoustic guitar, violin, piano; Laura sings and performs acoustic guitar and cello.
