The Trio of Oz is a jazz ensemble featuring the talents of pianist/keyboardist Rachel Z, drummer Omar Hakim, and bassist Maeve Royce. Conceptually, the trio eschews American Popular Songbook specifications and focuses rather on reworking contemporary pop and rock and roll songs within a jazz design. The trio released its full-length self-titled debut on Ozmosis Information this year 2010.
