The Tone Sharks

The modern time jazz avant-garde outfit the Tone Sharks includes members Tom Bergeron – soprano & alto sax, percussion, Brent Heyne – trombone, vocals, Steve Willis – guitar, Page Hundemer – electric bass, and Dave Storrs – drums (and sometimes joined by Tag Bakalar – tuba, trombone). Most of its associates are seasoned veterans, having either released their own single albums, or documented with other performers over time. Storrs has released a set of single albums, Ross Isle and Jumper Wires, and works his very own label, Louie Information, while Bergeron provides issued the single sets Saxophone By itself and Leopard Stories for his very own label, Teal Creek Information, and Hundemer has in an organization known as Whirled Jazz (who offered as the back-up music group for Bergeron’s sophomore work). Because of their first two produces, 1998’s Survey from a Log and Ten Tales, the group was heading with the name Dave Storrs & the Build Sharks. Soonafter, it had been shortened it to simply the Build Sharks, for such following produces as 1999’s Cave Sleepers: Browse Shark/Over Hill & Time, plus a couple of albums in 2000, Chunks of Zen and WW.Shark (which were issued on Storr’s label, Louie).
