A product from the same vibrant Austin root base rock picture which produced the real Believers, the Reivers, as well as the Crazy Seeds, the Tx Instruments were shaped in 1983 by guitarist David Woody, bassist Ron Marks, and drummer Steve Chapman. Merging their mutual curiosity about punk with an love for heartland music, the group released their debut EP, Even more Texas Musical instruments!, in 1985; a self-titled full-length record appeared 2 yrs later. Following the discharge of 1988’s Sunlight Tunnels, the Tx Musical instruments added second guitarist Clay Daniel with their lineup. In 1989, the group finished its third record, Crammed Into Infinity; prior to the record’s discharge, nevertheless, their longtime label, Rabid Kitty, declared bankruptcy, as well as the disk spent many a few months in limbo, ultimately viewing the light of time in 1990. Magnetic House followed 3 years later.
