The Telefones

The Telefones were a mid-’60s rock-inspired new wave music group from Dallas, TX. Once they created in 1979, Jerry Dirkx performed lead acoustic guitar and sang, Chris Dirkx performed drums, Steve Dirkx performed bass, and can Clay performed saxophone and synthesizer. The band’s 1st solitary, The Ballad of Jerry Godzilla, premiered in-may of 1980 on Dallas’ VVV label. Half a year later on, the LP Vibration Switch was released. Clay remaining the collapse and was changed with a trumpet participant/vocalist/keyboardist from the name of Tag Griffin. Rock-Ola!, the group’s second and last full-length, premiered in mid-1981. Griffin would later on be referred to as MC 900 Feet. Jesus.
