Originally from various groups within their native Brazil, the duo of guitarist Henrique Laurindo, a fanzine editor, and drummer Renato Tezolin formed the band in early 2000. The group, known for executing their own British songs within their motherland, obtained popularity using a tv appearance on Curitiba, a Brazilian range display.
