The Sweetback Sisters

Although formed in Brooklyn through the early 21st century, the Sweetback Sisters magic size their songs following the vintage nation music of 1950s-era Nashville. Central towards the group’s audio are vocalists Zara Bode and Emily Miller, who initial sang together within a vacationing choir in 2005. Finding a mutual like for Hank Williams, girls started singing nation music after their nightly choir shows. When the tour finished, Bode and Miller both transferred to Brooklyn and produced the Sweetback Sisters, whose popularity swelled after a functionality on the Prairie Home Partner in 2007. Bode and Miller’s harmonies quickly became the backbone from the Sweetback Sisters’ audio, however the group’s lineup also included four talented instrumentalists: guitarist Ross Bellenoit, guitarist/fiddler Jesse Milnes, drummer Stefan Amidon, and upright bassist Peter Bitenc.
