The Suspects

Mostly of the ska-revival rings to emerge from Tx, the Houston-based octet the Suspects was formed in 1993. Made up of vocalist Thomas Escalante, guitarists Alan Hernandez and Expenses Grady, bassist Charlie Esparza, keyboardist Joe Cote, trombonist Hunter Close, saxophonist Chuy Terrazas and drummer Claudio DePujadas, the Suspects released their debut LP Ninety-Nine Paid in 1995. The follow-up, COULD Learned to avoid Worrying and Like the Ska, made an appearance two years later on and the 3rd album, Lost On the way premiered in 2000.
