The Sunday Funnies

Detroit pop/rockers the Weekend Funnies were made up of vocalist Richard Fidge, guitarist Ronald Aitken, keyboardist Richard Kosinski, and drummer Richard Mitchell. After debuting in 1970 with “Large Music,” released on the neighborhood Hideout label, the quartet released its self-titled debut LP per year down the road Rare Globe; 1972’s Benediction, made by Andrew Loog Oldham, was the Weekend Funnies’ swan tune.
