The Summer Set

Co-founded by brothers John and Stephen Gomez, the summertime Arranged took shape in 2007 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Gomez siblings curved out their lineup with guitarist John Montgomery, drummer Jess Bowen, and vocalist Brian Dales. The teenage quartet selected their name after starting an atlas and occurring upon the city of Somerset, NJ. Regardless of the East Coastline reference, Arizona became the summertime Set’s muse, as the group required inspiration from regional functions like Jimmy Eat Globe and the File format while composing its emo-pop songs. Because they collected a modest viewers on social media marketing, the Summer Established played local displays and issued many EPs, all while still in senior high school. After graduating, they agreed upon with Razor & Connect. Released in ’09 2009, Love SUCH AS THIS proclaimed the group’s formal debut. Everything’s Great implemented in 2011, offering creation by John Areas (Jimmy Eat Globe, Andrew W.K.) and visitor songwriting by Paul Doucette (Matchbox Twenty) and Mike Daly (Whiskeytown). The band’s third record, Legendary, was released in early 2013 and highlighted visitor vocals from Dia Frampton. Through the promotional routine for their 4th LP, Dales uncovered that the summertime Set almost known as it quits by the end of 2015, amidst worries that the music group had “operate its training course.” Nevertheless, despite uncertainties, they stayed jointly and completed Tales for Monday, that was released in Apr 2016.
