Championed by famous brands Boys Noize, Laurent Garnier, and Tiësto, the Subs are a lively Belgian trio whose fascinating mixture of electro, rave, and punk continues to be tearing in the dancefloors of their Ghent hometown since 2006. Motivated with the ’90s electronica of Daft Punk, Underworld, and Chemical substance Brothers, manufacturer Jeroen “Papillon” De Pessemier and DJs Wiebe “Tonic” Loccufier and Luca “Highbloo” Di Ferdinando, initial began remixing monitors for Alex Gopher, Telex, and Cassius before launching their debut record, Subculture, in 2008. After well-received pieces at Bestival, Pukkelpop, and Global Gathering, they released Decontrol in 2012.
