Alt-popsters the Stratford 4 includes users Chris Streng (vocals, acoustic guitar), Jake Hosek (acoustic guitar), Andrea Caturegli (drums), and Sheetal Singh (bass) — and even though the quartet is situated in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, almost fifty percent of their users hail originally from Seattle. Created in 1998, the music group quickly latched onto the multi-layered, psychedelic audio of such performers as My Bloody Valentine and Yo La Tengo, ultimately producing a documenting contract using the Jetset label as well as the January 2002 launch of their debut full-length, The Revolt Against Tired Sounds. Furthermore to music, Singh may be the co-founder of the favorite Noise Basis, a self-described “community corporation for music artists” in San Fransico. The group’s sophomore record, Like and Distortion, found its way to early 2003.
