The Steve Rochinski Quartet

Originally from Washington, DC, Steve Rochinski can be an angular, cerebral post-bop/very difficult bop guitarist that has been active about the Boston jazz scene because the 1970s. It had been during that 10 years that Rochinski relocated to Boston to review at the exclusive Berklee University of Music, and he continued to become faculty member in 1984. After learning with acoustic guitar great Tal Farlow and working like a sideman by trumpeters Conte Candoli and Tim Hagans and pianist Bob Dogan, Rochinski finally offered his first recording like a innovator, Until Further Notice…, for Collection Out in 1993 (when he was 39). Subsequently, the guitarist documented A Bird within the Hands, which Jardis released in 1999.
