The Stereo

The Stereo system plays catchy rock and roll using the levity of Weezer, blending pop-punk using the big, honest super rock and roll of groupings like Trip and only a hint from the heartfelt, piano romping of Billy Joel. The group started in 1999 when two music artists — Jamie Woolford of Pet Chin and Rory Phillips from the Impossibles — mixed their solo tasks at the suggestion of the label. After tape trading and calls, Woolford jumped in his vehicle and drove to Austin, TX, where in fact the duo documented their entire full-length debut, 3 HUNDRED. The materials was then delivered to maker J. Robbins, who offered it his popular touch, and premiered on Fueled by Ramen in 1999. After touring in support their 1st record, Phillips remaining the group. But Woolford pressed on, enlisting assistance from friends and liberating the brand new Tokyo Is Contacting EP on the way. Guitarist Erik Hanson became a member of, soon still left the group, and was changed by Ross Felrath, and then re-join the music group once again. Rewind + Record, released on Fueled by Ramen in June of 2002, understood Woolford’s objective of crafting a huge album with music that inspire listeners to obtain lighters from the slow music and revel in the rock and roll show.
