The Stepkids

Connecticut’s the Stepkids certainly are a trio of songwriters/vocalists comprising Jeff Gitelman (guitar), Tim Walsh (drums), and Dan Edinberg (bass and keyboards). Before this fusion task, the people performed as the touring support group for several high-profile R&B and rap soloists, including Alicia Secrets, 50 Cent, Lauryn Hill, and Pharoahe Monch. The Stepkids authorized to Stones Toss in early 2011, and went off to try out the label’s display at SXSW that springtime. After liberating two 12” singles, “Tale in my Brain” and “Shadows on Behalf,” the trio continued to create their self-titled debut, a live-sounding conglomeration of psychedelic funk and neo-soul, documented right to analog tape. After weeks of promotion, Rocks Throw slated the discharge for Sept of 2011. 2 yrs later, after intensive touring, the group came back using their sophomore follow-up, Troubadour.
