The Spires

The Spires began like a collaboration between Jason Bays (also of Tall Tales & the Metallic Coating) and Colleen Coffey, who formed the group in 2004. Sketching from acts just like the Velvet Underground, Robyn Hitchcock, as well as the Kinks, Bays and Coffey come up with a small number of drowsy, psychedelia-tinged indie pop music and released them with an EP, Amplifier, on the homegrown label Beehouse Information that summer time. The duo’s 1st full-length recording, Written in a 12 months with a whole lot of Rain, premiered in early 2006; another disk, the Sky Sky EP, arrived before the 12 months came to a detailed.
