The Speaking Canaries

The Speaking Canaries are from Pittsburgh, but after hearing their music, it wouldn’t be implausible if someone told you they originated from Mars. The music group is actually the twisted eyesight of guitarist/vocalist/UFO professional Damon Che, who is able to also be discovered playing drums sometimes within the group Don Caballero. Bassist Karl Hendricks and drummer Noah Leger sign up for Che, plus they fill a great deal of space for a trio. Even though group continues to be well documented like a bunch of Vehicle Halen aficionados, they’re not really shameless ripoffs. Like additional misunderstood performers (J. Mascis, Captain Beefheart, Roky Erickson, etc.), Damon Che offers his individual vision and strategy. The group embarked on an extended tour following the release of the critically acclaimed double-record debut, Tunes for the Terrestrially Challenged, in 1995. Because of the originality from the recording, the group discovered themselves described in such high-profile mags as Moving Stone, Guitar Globe, and Raygun. It is also a secure bet that certain day Che is going to be recognized as the fantastic guitarist he’s in the frequently cliquish group of rock and roll guitarists. The group is going to be unleashing their long-awaited follow-up recording in 1998.
