Biography

This UK-based duo of Ricky Simmonds (b. London, Britain) and Stephen Jones (b. London, Britain) continues to be responsible for many well-received and effective home and trance singles, and many remixes. In addition they record under other pseudonyms, including Lustral, Chakra and Ascension and also have released materials on 10 different brands, including Jackpot, Hooj Choons and Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto Information. Because the Space Brothers, they’re now agreed upon to Manifesto Information. Their one ‘Glimmer’ was a clubland most liked in 1997 using the support of several high-profile DJs, including Oakenfold and Judge Jules. As Lustral, their one ‘Every Period’, an ambient drum ‘n’ bass monitor, received a fantastic remix from Nalin And Kane, which allowed it to cross to the home dancefloors and onto many club-based compilation albums, including Renaissance’s Worldwide – London. Their following launch for Manifesto was ‘Forgiven’, which, although effective, didn’t gain exactly the same reception as ‘Glow’. In 1999, they released two singles ‘Legacy’ and ‘Heaven Will Arrive’ – with remixes by trance Renaissance guy, Matt Darey and Lange. In Sept 1999, they released their debut Glow, which featured an added bonus disk of dance music remixes from the album, inside a smooth blend by Oakenfold. THE AREA Brothers’ excellent qualifications and the design of their music places them in the forefront of tuneful, available trance in the past due 90s.
