The Sons of Adam

Releasing several obscure singles within the mid-’60s, this LA psychedelic band is usually primarily remembered for a couple of things. Their guitarist, Randy Holden, continued to Blue Cheer, plus they documented an Arthur Lee structure, “Feathered Seafood,” which Like never released within their personal version. The thin proof that survives on record suggests these were a good music group, though, impressive a midpoint between garage area pop and California freakouts, and utilizing distortion and opinions when those characteristics had been still innovative. Their materials has been very difficult to come across, although an EP reissue made an appearance in 1980s; somebody should reissue their singles on Compact disc, or pad them out with any obtainable unreleased tapes to create an record compilation.
