The Song Trust

The Track Trust was a family-oriented music project led by Nashville-based songwriters Rory Lee Feek and Tim Johnson, who co-founded the short-lived label Giantslayer Information in 2004. The set wrote a Xmas song entitled “Bring Him House Santa” that premiered by Giantslayer with Capitol Information in 2007, with proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children’s Study Hospital. Sung by an unnamed youthful girl and acknowledged to the Track Trust, it made an appearance around the Billboard Nation Airplay graph in January 2008. A complete album of Xmas tunes sung by kids — some addresses, some originals (including “Bring Him House Santa”) — Merry Kidsmas made an appearance in ’09 2009, as do a country recording of “tunes written for canines…and their owners” entitled The Dog Vocalist. The project as well as the record label quickly fizzled as Feek focused on his husband-and-wife nation/bluegrass duo, Joey + Rory.
