The Slickers

Derrick Crooks (b. 1937, Westmoreland, Jamaica, Western world Indies) originally performed alongside his sibling Sidney and Glen Adams within the embryonic Pioneers in 1962. The group released their debut, ‘Sometime’, in 1965 for manufacturer Leslie Kong, before signing up for Ken Lack’s Caltone organization. As the Pioneers’ profession obtained momentum, Crooks pursued his documenting profession alongside a variety of vocalists. He enrolled various other singers and jointly they performed because the Slickers. The Pioneers and Slickers had been often recognised incorrectly as one another for their related vocal stylings.
